Barry was a hit with critics

barry was a huge hit with critics throughout its run. It debuted with a near-perfect 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes for its first season. The show has only gotten better since then, as seasons 3 and 4 sit with 100% perfect ratings. Overall, the ratings are pretty much the same for Season 3 as they always have been, so HBO seems to have everything they need to feel confident moving forward with the season. 4.

The series has also been a darling during awards season. This includes Primetime Emmy wins for Bill Hader and Henry Winkler, with Hader winning for acting twice. Berg credited Hader’s acting abilities as driving the show’s success, and three seasons later, everything seems to have improved.

“He’s incredibly talented,” Berg said in April, according to Forbes. “In terms of growth, it’s just a matter of experience and confidence. He has the ability to do anything. Now that three seasons have passed, I don’t think his skills have improved. I think he’s just more confident. He’s had more reps, so he knows what he wants and what he doesn’t want and he knows how to get it and what the scene is. So I think it has become more efficient.
