Melbourne-based architecture and interior design studio Carr has announced the elevation of interior designers Bianca Dignan and Chloe Walton to their management team.
As specialists within Carr’s residential interior design team, Dignan and Walton bring significant knowledge and experience with multiple and individual residences. Residential design, which is Carr’s core sector, continues to be a defining body of work for the studio; the latest appointments not only reflect and support the firm’s significant business growth, but also recognize their continued commitment to this segment of design.
“Residential interiors have always been at the heart of the business and are integral to our vision of a holistic practice. The elevation and maturity of the team is further enhanced by the appointments of Chloe and Bianca as they lead the team with Sue and I through all scales of projects. We are excited about the opportunities the promotion affords the team and the nature of the work we engage in,” said Chris McCue, Managing Director of Carr.
With 2022 seeing Carr with its highest number of projects in place and to be completed yet, the elevations also mark the leadership team at its most comprehensive and robust yet.
As an individual, Dignan is driven by the impact that design and the environments we inhabit can have on our daily lives. As a partner at Carr specializing in residential design, her design philosophy centers on creating highly functional and sustainable environments that promote well-being and foster community connections. By constantly deepening the behavior of users of various residential typologies, Dignan appreciates the commercial sense of the residential market. With extensive knowledge and ongoing research in land use planning, she is committed to influencing change through collaboration and client engagement.
With a background in architecture and interior design, Walton brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in both disciplines to his role at Carr. As an associate on the Residential Interiors team, her process is heavily shaped by this hybrid perspective, which allows her to provide a unique and holistic perspective to each project. Walton loves the intersection of methodical process and boundless creativity. This collision of science and the arts inspires him in his quest to improve and reinvent the way things are done. Through his commitment to resolving a client’s case and needs, Walton prioritizes and leverages active listening to ensure the desired outcome is achieved.
