A family furniture company will take over the premises vacated by Crafty Betty.
Curtain and Blind Design Ltd, which has operated in Newark for 18 years, will move into the unit from its current store on Cartergate.
It moved to larger premises in London Road Carpark, which housed the Crafty Betty tailor shop.
Curtain and Blind Design Ltd specialize in bespoke curtains and blinds, manufacture and fitting, wallpaper, upholstery and designer fabrics including Voyage Maison, Harlequin, Prestigious Textiles, Ashley Wilde, Iliv, etc
It has been in the business for 30 years, with directors are Matthew Spowage and Ian Bavin and showroom manager Rachel Peverell offering consultations.
The space will be redesigned to create a new interactive showroom, displaying motorized blinds and tracks and a conservatory section offering choices of integrated blinds and roof blinds.
The Newark branch of Curtain and Blind Design Ltd is one of three, comprising stores in North Allerton and Harrogate, and the move comes after 13 years at the Cartergate premises.
A grand reopening will take place after the bank holiday on Tuesday, August 30.
A fabric sale will take place from Monday 27th June to Friday 26th August before the move, selling fabrics by the yard from £1, large scraps from £2 and antique display curtains and roman blinds from £10 with 25% of proceeds to Beaumond House Hospice Care
