The Caribbean hotel partners with Moroccan brand Marrakshi Life on a souvenir line of beachwear that promises craftsmanship and comfort

By now, the Palm Heights Hotel on Grand Cayman has probably secured its place at the top of most people’s travel bucket lists. This collaborative and community spirit now extends to the hotel’s new beachside partnership with Marrakshi Life, the Marrakech-based fashion brand known for reinterpreting traditional Moroccan clothing for a genderless wardrobe.

“I’ve long been a fan of Marrakshi Life, which has a particularly refined take on craftsmanship and comfort,” says Khalil, who previously worked with New York label Bode to create the hotel staff uniforms. . “There’s an easy glamor to all of their pieces, which aligns perfectly with the spirit of Palm Heights.”

United by a shared passion for preservation, Marrakshi Life and Palm Heights have come together on a souvenir line of beachwear that honors traditional crafts and weaving techniques on the one hand, and Caribbean beach culture on the one hand. ‘somewhere else. While Marrakshi Life typically draws inspiration from the Moroccan landscape in its colorways, for this occasion founder Randall Bachner turned to hotel mainstays, ranging from striped beach towels, bright yellow umbrellas and flora local to inform the collaborative range.

“It was an incredibly organic experience, which started virtually, but when we finally got to Palm Heights, it was ironic how well we understood the property before visiting,” he says. “The colors we chose to work with were all visually represented in the hotel.”

The unisex capsule range includes a Nero collared kaftan and oversized sun hat, in local hues, as well as refreshed guest robes in camel and ecru stripes. Modeled in these images by some of the hotel’s former guests, boxers Richard Riakporhe and Ramla Ali and ballet dancer Gabe Stone Shayer, the rooms will hold the holiday feeling long after you return. §
